He is seeking asylum in this country (U.K.) and has just been given accommodation in Coventry where he has no friends or contacts as yet.Is there a Yezidi community in the West Midlands area that he could make contact with?Thank you for your help,Barbara CharnockRefugee Drop in Centre

Hello!
I have a question. I hope you know the answer.
Do some yazidi going on a pilgrimage this year have problems to come to Lalish because of crossing a border?
Is 75 percent of Kurdistan occupied?Sincerely,

Greetings to all.
My name is Robert Leutheuser, and independent traveler and photographer who has traveled among the Kurds and Yezidis for almost 10 years. Last year I had the great pleasure of visiting Lalish for the first time with friends from the Lalish Cultural Center in Dohuk. It was wonderful.
In August I am returning for a 3-month travel, and I hope to visit Lalish for al-Jama-iyye. But I have not been able to make contact with the Cultural Center. So I am asking for help. Does anybody know a current EMail address or telephone number for the Cultural Center? Or, can anybody help me find a sponsor (preferably who speaks a little English) for my visit? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can be reached at [email protected].
If you would like to see some of the photos from the visit to Lalish, or other photos of Kurdish people in the region, please visit my website, www.beyondbordersphotography.com.
Again, spasticam.

Dear Sir,
Please allow me to introduce myself. I’m a researcher working for the ***** for Refugees in ***** (deleted for professional anonymity). It is the task of my research department (called *****) to collect and process as much general and detailed information as possible about countries of origin, in this case Iraq, to contribute to a correct and just assessment of the Iraqi asylum cases.
We are of course interested in the plight of the Yezidis in Iraq. I already have contacts with a number of ngo’s who keep me informed about the situation, but nevertheless there’s always need for more information. More precisely I’m looking for objective information about the situation in Sheikhan, and for that purpose I would like to find someone who lives in Sheikhan and who would be willing to give me first hand account of the events in 2007 and the current situation.
I’ve encountered your website on the internet, and although this might be a long shot, I’m hoping that the network of Yezidis is so strong that maybe you could help me find someone in Sheikhan, or at least point me in the right direction by forwarding my message to the relevant people.
If you have any questions about this request please don’t hesitate to contact me, I’ll be happy to clarify them. I can assure you that any information I gather will be solely used in our concern to offer protection to refugees according to the Geneva Convention of 1951.
Because we’ve been having major server problems within our Ministry lately, I would appreciate a confirmation upon receipt of this message. If ever you would not receive a reply from me, then please send your message again to my other e-mail address: <removed>.
I’ll be looking forward to your reply,
Yours sincerely,
